Maggie Park Smith

Process:

These pieces are representatives of a six piece “Square Neighborhood Series”. The pieces are lightweight, durable and are entirely original. These porcelain pieces begin as thin slabs of clay and are fashioned into the functional, hand-built pieces shown here. Each piece is handled numerous times during the process of creating, glazing and adding our own screen-printed imagery. All of the work is fired to Cone 6; yielding vitrified porcelain, food-safe and durable wares for everyday use.
